This morning with the promise of some snow on the ground Millie and I headed up Ohio Creek Road to photograph the Anthracites. From county Road 6 the buildings on Castleton Ranch had a fresh layer of snow that made them stand out. The light on the Anthracite Ranch was changing very fast so I took several photos with the light changing. This was the best one. Taken with the Fuji gfx50s and 23-64 lens.
We love the Winter Solstice. Three days from tonight, that glorious ball of fire will begin to increase it’s arc in the sky, and each day we will get around 2 minutes more daylight in the evening. How wonderful is that!. And that’s when we get to sit down to a glorious meal with family and friends, opening gifts and celebrating. Today was the shortest day of the year… a beautiful day, filled with energy and glorious light..and tonight, the darkest and longest night of the year will be a time of reflection and quiet celebration. However you honor the energy of this festive season, have a fabulous time, may the energy of the sun’s rebirth and renewal bless your home and family.
